Who can use norc

You must be able to form a binding contract to use norc. You're responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account, including any machines you pair and any jobs you schedule.

What norc does

norc is a control plane for scheduled tasks: it reads and writes crontab entries on machines you pair, syncs job and machine data across your devices, and — if you use AI Studio — turns prompts into schedules. norc executes what you configure. It does not review, approve, or filter the commands you schedule.

Acceptable use

You may not use norc to run or schedule anything unlawful, to attack, scan, or disrupt systems you don't have permission to access, or to use norc's infrastructure, sync relay, or AI features as a vector for abuse (spam, malware distribution, credential stuffing, denial-of-service, or similar). You're solely responsible for the commands you schedule and their consequences, on your own machines and any remote servers you pair with norc. We may suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe are violating this section.

Subscriptions and billing

Free manages up to two machines at no cost. Pro ($8/mo) and Power ($19/mo) are paid subscriptions billed monthly or annually; Team is custom-priced, contact hello@norc.app. Billing is processed by Stripe — norc never stores your card number. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel anytime and retain access through the end of the paid period. If you downgrade or cancel and you're managing more machines than your new plan allows, machines beyond that limit stop being managed and synced. Your job and machine data isn't deleted, and jobs already written to a machine's crontab keep running on that machine.

Service availability

We aim to keep norc's sync and relay infrastructure available, but we don't guarantee any specific uptime and offer no service-level agreement at this time. Scheduled jobs on a paired machine continue to run locally via that machine's own cron/scheduler even if norc's cloud services are briefly unavailable.

Your data and backups

norc edits crontab entries on machines you pair, based on your instructions. Keep your own backups of anything critical — we're not a substitute for your own change control or version history on production systems.

Disclaimer of warranties

norc is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, norc is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any damages arising from commands you scheduled or ran through the service — including data loss, downtime, or unintended side effects of a scheduled job. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Termination

You can stop using norc and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access for violating these terms, including the acceptable use section above. On termination, your synced job and machine data is deleted per our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as norc changes. We'll update the date above when we do; continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
